Help doctors to help us by taking part in this survey:
To those women with genital Lichen Sclerosus:
We are trying to develop a Lichen Sclerosus Severity Scale for use in adults.
Hopefully having a scale will make it easier to study if treatments are working and how treatment affects whether lichen sclerosus worsens. We also hope it will allow us to better understand the link between treatment and the risk of developing skin cancers.
We have already conducted the first step of developing this Severity Scale. We have collected input from international experts on what items they feel are important to be included in the scale. These included symptoms such as itch and pain.
We are now ensuring that we have patient input on what symptoms and signs are important to include. This involves an online questionnaire that should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.
This study is not being funded.
If you participated previously (in 2018), the questions have been changed slightly and please repeat the survey. The more responses we get the easier it is to convince other practitioners what is important to patients.
Thank-you for your time and interest. Feel free to share the survey widely in other groups and on social media.
