The Basics page has information suitable for everyone who has lichen sclerosus and is particularly helpful for newly diagnosed men, women and children. There is a place at the end of this page for your comments and for sharing with others.

Men only is the page for the men to enjoy sharing with each other without having to feel lost in pages of posts relating to women. There is a place at the bottom of this page for you to make comments and share with others.

Lichen Sclerosus and Sex encourages you to share about your concerns and difficulties and welcomes the partners of those who are dealing with living with LS to share with us as well.  It is acknowledged that for partners, living with LS can be stressful and distressing and confusing too.

Hi. I have been newly diagnosed with Lichen Sclerosis. I am a 46 year old mother of two children ages 10 & 11. Your site was my first in a search for support on this horrible disease. I have been prescribed 2.5 mg of Methotrexate. Three tabs week one, two, and three with blood work between. By week 6, I have an office appointment with my doctor. I’m curious to others who are taking Methotrexate and their success.

    Thank you,
    Tracy

Hi Denise, sorry to hear your conditions get you down so much. It is hard to live with sometimes. I hope your husband is able to support you through these difficult times. Its not easy, I know but when a few of us went to the first world conference on l.s. in Birmingham we were told of lots of ways to be more imaginative with our difficulties, sexual needs and those of our partners.
    good luck
    Pete
